Increasing congestion in Nigeria

29 Jan 2020

The port of Lagos in Nigeria has been struggling with considerable congestion for months. The terminal of Apapa is suffering the worst of it, but Tincan is also affected. As a result, transit times to Apapa have doubled and run up to 70 days.

In addition, the terminal is struggling with impassable access roads. Due to the poor condition of the roads, it takes an average of a week for a truck to reach the terminal.

We recommend shipping to other terminals if possible. We are happy to advise you on this.
